Financial Solutions Manager

CAREER OPPORTUNITY
An exciting opportunity exists for a Financial Solutions Manager to join the Finance Department. This position is based in Centurion with remote working options.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Develop and implement the Premium Collection strategy for Brolink
•Build the Premium Collection Capability
•Manage business activities focusing on financial and strategic growth of unit
•Achieve annual sales targets
•Scan and understand the market
•Find new opportunities for payment/collection solutions
•Monitor and evaluate the overall performance of the unit to enhance the quality of service and effective use of resources
•Develop the competitive advantage “assets” that set this collections agency apart from other market players
•Responsible for growing the unit in accordance with the strategy
•Implement and manage controls within the unit
•Develop a risk and control environment
•Managing the performance of the team
•Manage all stakeholder relationships
•Oversee the onboarding process of new clients
•Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the teams achieve their objectives and deliver value as trusted business partners.
•Build and maintain good relationships with the Regulators and other interested parties of Brolink
•Monitor compliance with the applicable agreements and legislation through review, inquiry and, if required, assessment against the required standards
•Drive the marketing strategy of the new Collection facility
•Oversee the Premium Finance and Broker Acquisition processes.
•Responsible for monthly reporting to Senior Management / Executives on the Premium Collection Business Unit
•Responsible for compliance of the Business unit
•Accurate and timely processing of journal entries/invoices/statements for all revenue generated transactions.
•Monthly preparation of income reconciliations.
•Timely and accurate resolution of reconciling items.
•Reconciling system generated reports received from IT with bank statements received from financial institutions and following up of reconciling items and differences.
•Ad hoc duties as and when required in the finance department.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Qualification
Minimum Requirements:
•Degree in Commerce / Accounting or equivalent in prior learning
•Grasp of all legislation in the collection’s environment
•Good knowledge of current financial and economic landscape
•Work Experience
Minimum Requirements:
•At least 3 years of experience in managing collections and payment processes
•The Premium Collection manager is likely to be an experienced manager of people.
•Industry, Insurance and Banking sector
Preferably, in addition to the above:
•Risk management expertise
