Brolink Reaffirms Broker Centricity Through Broker Connect as Part of Its 2030 Strategy

Brolink recently hosted its 2025 Broker Connect sessions in Cape Town, Durban, and Johannesburg, bringing together brokers and partners for an evening of insights, recognition, and shared purpose. These engagements offered a valuable opportunity to reconnect in person, celebrate performance, and reflect on how Brolink is positioning itself in an evolving short-term insurance landscape.
While the gatherings were warm and engaging, they also carried strategic significance. Broker Connect provided a platform to share Brolink’s 2030 Strategy, a forward-looking framework that sets out how the organisation intends to support intermediaries in a market where customer expectations, technologies, data dynamics, and regulatory demands continue to evolve.
“Broker Connect gives us the chance to listen, learn, and engage directly with the intermediaries who make our business thrive. It is through these conversations that we continue to evolve and grow,” said Olebogeng, CEO of Brolink.
Understanding a Changing Market
The short-term insurance market is experiencing meaningful transformation. Shifts toward direct models, a growing emphasis on value beyond price, economic uncertainty, and the rise of digital ecosystems are reshaping customer behaviour and industry structures.
Technological advancements, including intelligent automation, analytics, and system integrations, are changing how services are delivered and how intermediaries operate. Although these trends may seem like threats to the broker model, Brolink sees them as opportunities for reinvention and shared progress.
“Despite the conversation around disintermediation, we believe deeply in the relevance of intermediaries. We do not see this market as shrinking, but rather as shifting, and we are backing this segment with conviction,” noted Olebogeng.
This perspective is anchored in purpose rather than scale. Brolink sees its role as an enabler within the value chain, simplifying administration, strengthening integration, and supporting intermediaries through people-centric and technology-driven solutions.
A Strategy Grounded in Purpose and Progress
Brolink’s 2030 Strategy focuses on strengthening the fundamentals of insurance administration. As described by Olebogeng, it is centred on “insurance administration done right—through people, technology, and partnerships.”
The strategy sets out a roadmap that leverages the organisation’s strengths in operational excellence, digital integration, and longstanding broker relationships. It is supported by three core pillars.
People and Culture
A focus on developing and empowering talent, fostering an inclusive environment, and building a high-performance culture that supports the organisation’s next stage of growth.
Risk and Compliance
Strengthened governance, cybersecurity, and regulatory alignment that help brokers operate confidently in a complex and fast-changing environment.
Total Experience
Human-centred digital experiences and seamless integrations that make it easier for brokers and insurers to work together, reducing administrative complexity while improving consistency across interactions.
Together, these pillars reflect Brolink’s purpose to be a force for good by doing right by people, and its mission to connect brokers, insurers, and clients through dynamic, people-driven solutions.
Recognising Excellence and Strengthening Partnerships
In addition to strategic conversations, Broker Connect also served to recognise high-performing brokers across Brolink’s portfolio. The awards segment remains an important part of the company’s tradition, reinforcing its commitment to celebrating excellence and acknowledging partners who demonstrate consistent performance and resilience.
Feedback from attendees reflected the professionalism and warmth of the engagements.
“An engaging awards evening that highlighted excellence, success, and strengthened broker insurer relationships. Well done, Team Brolink,” said Salochna from SNBrokers.
“A well-organised event that reflected true professionalism and warmth. It was a privilege to attend and engage with the Brolink team and fellow guests,” shared Hermien de Villiers from Empire Fleet Solutions.
These reflections aligned with the pride expressed by Brolink’s leadership.
“It gives me great pleasure to hear our clients and partners speak so highly of the service excellence delivered by our people. This is at the heart of how we intend to grow as a business,” said Olebogeng.
COO Hendrik Heyns also expressed his appreciation, emphasising the importance of collective progress.
“Your partnership is invaluable. In a market that is changing quickly, our commitment is to walk this journey with you, side by side,” said Hendrik.
A Shared Journey Toward 2030
The 2025 Broker Connect sessions demonstrated the strength of Brolink’s partnerships and the shared ambition that continues to define its journey. Most importantly, Brolink’s 2030 Strategy was well received, giving brokers renewed assurance that they have a committed partner who stands with them in a fast-changing environment and who is focused on enabling sustainable growth through people, technology, and collaboration.
